Description...
School Form Bench No 1 with softwood (Redwood) slats - above ground fixing.
Bench unit with 430mm seating height 400mm wide 1800mm long.
The overall sizes give adequate space for seating three adults and 4 or 5 children.
The bench is constructed using 2 substantial timber slats 195mm wide and 40mm deep each 1800mm long.
The timbers are fixed using plated coach bolts which in turn are secured in place by steel dowel pins.
The bench is available with either hardwood or alternatively softwood slats.
The hardwood materials chosen and used are supplied from sustainable forests.
Hardwood slats will be either sapele, a darker timber, or idigbo sometimes called Emery which is a lighter coloured timber. Both will receive three coats of a Sadolin treatment that enhances the colours of the timber.
Softwood timber, Redwood, will have one coat primer, one coat undercoat and two coats of top coat. Red, Blue, Green and Yellow are offered.
